We are a caricature company founded in 2012 in Santa Cruz, California. We entertain and amaze thousands of guests every year at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with our crazy caricaturing skills, and are excited to now serve a wider online audience.

Statement of Inclusion
As a collective of artists tasked with celebrating every guest and their unique qualities, we value the diverse spectrum of human appearance, culture, expression and opinion. We welcome employees and guests of all backgrounds and persuasions. Our Programs
Apprentice Program: Every year we hire a number of promising artists from our community to enter our Apprenticeship program and begin their training as caricature artists. Apprentices begin by working as cashiers and artist support crew, learning the basics of salesmanship, customer care and high volume retail. During this time, apprentices attend weekly caricature trainings and as they increase their skills earn a chair as a staff caricature artists. Applications typically accepted every year from February-March.

Visiting Artist Program: The caricaturing world is full of amazing artists! As part of our community building and training efforts we invite a slate of high level individuals from the caricature industry to come work at our Santa Cruz locations. Past visiting artists include Kelly O’Brien, Chris Meesey, Damion Dunn, Kiko Yamada, Salah Khudari and more. Email us if you are a professional caricature artist and would like to be considered for this opportunity.

Guest Artist Program: Every season Cali Caricature hosts a week long intensive workshop for our employees, focused on a particular artistic skill and led by a highly skilled Guest Artist. Our staff look forward to these visits every year! Past Guest Artists include Ali R. Thome, Mae Adao, Cory Lally, Lindsey Olivares, and Kirby Rudolph. Email us if you are a professional in the commercial arts (caricature, character design, animation, sequential storytelling, comics, etc) and would like to be considered for this opportunity.
